Legal Consultant and Workplace Investigator
Shana has twenty-four years of experience in municipal law, including fourteen years as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Vacaville, CA. She was principle advisor to the Vacaville Police and Fire Departments on all issues, including policy reviews, personnel matters, harassment and discrimination complaints, and internal affairs investigations.
Prior to that Faber worked as Senior Deputy City Attorney for Sacramento, CA. In that role she managed five full-time Deputy City Attorneys having principal responsibility for providing advisory legal services to the City of Sacramento.
Shana has regularly defended public safety clients against personal injury and civil rights claims. She has investigated allegations of police misconduct and fatal shootings from a civil liability perspective, and has represented public entities in disciplinary actions proceedings.
Shana earned her J.D. from The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and has been admitted to practice by the State Bar of California, the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and The United States Supreme Court.
